Bar J Ranch in western Minnesota has been breeding qulity Angus cattle since 1974. In 1997, Australian Lowline Angus were introduced. The Lowline Angus are significantly smaller, heavily muscled, lower backfat cattle that enjoy the same reputation for quality as their larger cousins. Environmentally friendly, these Lowline cattle develop primarily on forages with a short finishing period on a corn diet. They are raised with no hormone implants under the auspices of the Beef Quality Assurance program.
